Opening new office: The Factory

Van den Bosch has opened its new office: The Factory. The building will serve, among other things, as the new office of online platform Bulkio. The former steam dairy on the Molentiend in Erp previously housed the Van den Bosch Experience, the knowledge centre of the logistics service provider.

The Experience was repurposed when Van den Bosch opened a completely new knowledge centre at Bussele 30 in Erp in March 2021: the Van den Bosch Academy. Following renovation, the former Experience now has a new layout with multiple office spaces and meeting rooms. However, the history of the unique heritage building is not lost, preserved among other things in the name 'The Factory', in reference to the old milk factory.

Bulkio

Van den Bosch launched the digital matching platform Bulkio in April 2021. For several years, Van den Bosch sent transport orders to over 800 bulk carriers via the successful online platform FreightMatch. Since April 2021, the digital platform has been operating independently with a new market approach under the name Bulkio, supported by the experience of Van den Bosch.

Future perspective

The matching platform has developed strongly in recent years. “Our location in The Factory is a symbol of our present and future growth,” says Pirke van den Elsen, managing director at Bulkio. “We offer a unique market approach and service to bulk shippers and carriers with a highly automated platform. Bulkio sees a promising future in this, and the new office will contribute to it – we are ready for further growth.”
