Expansion of the board

Van den Bosch is expanding its board with two new members. Rob van Dijk has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO). In addition, the role of Chief Digital Officer (CDO), currently held by Pirke van den Elsen, is now formally part of the board.

Van den Bosch operates in a challenging market and is committed to structurally strengthening the organisation. This requires additional clout at board level. With the appointment of Rob van Dijk and Pirke van den Elsen, the board has grown from two to four members. This creates greater focus on themes that are crucial to the organisation’s future, such as operational execution, process design, digitalisation and the use of AI.

Future-proof

The current board members, Rico Daandels (CEO) and Thom van Egmond (CFO), are delighted with the expansion of the board. “With this reinforcement, we are creating more capacity and expertise to meet the challenges in the market, both now and in the future. We are proud that we have been able to fill these roles internally with Rob and Pirke, who with their knowledge and experience will take our management team to a higher level.”

Van den Bosch achieved a score of 69/100 in the recent EcoVadis assessment, placing it among the top 35% of all organisations assessed. It outperformed 83% of companies in the EcoVadis network and earned the logistics service provider a bronze medal.

Van den Bosch DMCC celebrates tenth anniversary

This month, Van den Bosch DMCC is celebrating its tenth anniversary. The office in Dubai was established in 2015 to coordinate the global deep sea activities of the logistics service provider. Today, the office has nearly fifty employees and Van den Bosch is the market leader in shipping liquid bulk in ISO tanks to and from Africa.
