A new chapter & farewell to Rico Daandels

With the recent changes in the board of Van den Bosch, a new chapter is about to begin for our family business. It is a moment to look ahead, but also to reflect on the period we are about to conclude and the contribution Rico Daandels has made to it.

Rico has been part of Van den Bosch for more than 21.5 years, including the past 9.5 years as CEO. During this time, he made a significant contribution to the development of Van den Bosch into the international company it is today.

Under his leadership, we continued to build a strong European intermodal network. Our global deep sea activities were also further expanded. The development of Bulkio has given a significant boost to innovation, alongside progress in the areas of digitalisation, sustainability and further professionalisation.

As Van den Bosch continued to grow, the organisation also evolved. During that period, teams were expanded, and roles and responsibilities changed. Teams became stronger and many colleagues grew alongside the company.

Looking to the future, we want to be more closely involved in the strategic direction and management of our family business. This decision means a different organisational structure, which means that Rico’s role as CEO will come to an end.

On behalf of our family, we would like to thank Rico for his many years of commitment, entrepreneurship, energy and loyalty. We look back with pride and appreciation on what we have built together, and the role Rico has played in this.

Rico, we wish you happiness and success for the future. Although our professional paths are coming to an end here, we hope that our personal relationship will remain.
