Work café officially opens as a central meeting place for staff

After more than nine months of construction and preparation, Van den Bosch is officially opening the new work café this week. The grand opening took place this weekend, attended by staff and management.

The work café has been designed with a broader purpose than simply serving as a company canteen. As well as providing space for lunch and informal meetings, the venue also offers opportunities to work, receive clients or exchange ideas in a setting other than the regular workplace. This gives the work café a central role within the daily work process and internal collaboration.

In addition, the space is used for various joint activities and events within the organisation. These include town hall meetings, friday afternoon drinks, festive gatherings and other internal occasions. Thanks to the advanced AV system, the space is flexible and suitable for both informal and more formal events.

Collaboration

Catering is provided in collaboration with DS Hospitality Service. Van den Bosch has used this partnership for previous years’ trade fairs in Munich. The partnership is now being further expanded, and a joint working method is being developed step by step.

The construction project was realised thanks to the collaboration between the internal project team and various external partners. Architectural firm STRK and construction company Cornelissen carried out the construction, supported by Rooijakkers Installatie, Aldenhoven Interieurwerken, Preferro and Hakvoort Professional, amongst others. Desque, Lixero and Siebers Groenatelier were responsible for the interior design and décor, resulting in a warm and inviting atmosphere within the space.

With its official opening, the work café is ready to become a central hub for collaboration, meeting and connection within the organisation.
