Sea

By shipping your bulk goods in tank or silo containers, you’ve chosen a reliable and sustainable mode of transport. Whether it’s by short sea, deep sea or inland shipping, Van den Bosch has the knowhow and capacity to ship your raw materials to the right location – all the way from the loading point to the final destination.

Shipping your raw materials in tank or silo containers comes with several advantages. It’s not only safe but also surprisingly fast, efficient and economical.

Europe and Africa
Van den Bosch has an extensive intermodal transport network in Europe and Africa. We always offer a competitive solution for the delivery of your raw materials. We work closely with reputable shipping companies and partners but also with local carriers who take care of transporting your goods from the terminal to their final destination.

Optimise your payloads
The great advantage of sea transport lies in optimising your payload. The gross vehicle weight can be up to 44 tonnes. That pays off in terms of sustainability because the number of transport movements decreases. By developing smart equipment, we contribute to the further optimisation of your payload.

Liquid and dry bulk
We ship your liquid bulk goods in 20ft ISO tank containers with a capacity of up to 26,000 litres. To further optimise your payload, we have also developed 25ft tank containers which can carry up to 36,000 litres. In both cases we offer heated and refrigerated transport. We ship your dry bulk in 30ft or 40ft silo containers with a capacity of up to 59m3. In Europe we are the market leader in the field of transportation using pressurised silo containers.

Africa as a growth market
We believe in the potential of Africa and in recent years have invested heavily in developing our deep sea network for the African market. Our focus is on shipping liquid foodstuffs in ISO tanks, coordinated from our Dubai office. We also have created our own tank cleaning facility in Ghana and in Ivory Coast. In addition, we have further expanded our container fleet, so we can always offer you capacity.

Wondering what advantages sea transport could deliver for you?
We would be happy to discuss the possibilities with you. Take a look at our deep-sea website here.
