Logistics service provider Van den Bosch Iberia, formerly TCS Trans, is proud to announce the appointment of Alberto Ramírez as its new General Manager. Alberto Ramírez has years of valuable experience in transport and logistics. He takes over from Juan and Eduardo Castellet San Miguel.
Alberto Ramírez thus succeeds the brothers, who remained in charge of management after Van den Bosch acquired TCS Trans. The Castellet San Miguel family remains involved in the business. Juan Castellet San Miguel will take care of the handover to Alberto Ramírez, after which he will assume an advisory role within the organisation.
"With the appointment of Alberto Ramírez, we have succeeded in bringing on board an experienced manager with strong leadership qualities and good familiarity with the Spanish market," said Rico Daandels, CEO of Van den Bosch. "With his commercial and operational experience, Alberto is adept at building our intermodal business. He has been able to build high-quality customer propositions in chemical product transportation. We are convinced that Alberto, with his proven track record, is particularly well equipped to lead Van den Bosch Iberia to the next phase."

Van den Bosch wins another bronze medal in EcoVadis assessment
Van den Bosch achieved a score of 69/100 in the recent EcoVadis assessment, placing it among the top 35% of all organisations assessed. It outperformed 83% of companies in the EcoVadis network and earned the logistics service provider a bronze medal.

In the spotlight: new tank containers
Van den Bosch is investing in new tank containers from manufacturer Van Hool. The updated High Volume Ultra Light tank container is being delivered in a series of one hundred containers. The first ten have now been added to the fleet.

Renewed Technical Department Europoort
Van den Bosch has started using a renovated workshop of the Technical Department in Europoort. In addition to an expansion of 1,200 square metres, several sustainable improvements have also been made. “With the greening of our Technical Department, we are further developing ourselves as a sustainable service provider,” says Jos Stadthouders, site manager at Europoort.
