Passion, ambition and progress

Van den Bosch has a rich history – and it’s a story we’re proud of. Founded in 1964 by Ad van den Bosch with one single truck, the organisation has grown to become an internationally operating logistics service provider specialising in bulk. In 1998 Peter took over the company from his father. Under his leadership it grew to become an authority in bulk logistics with offices throughout Europe and beyond. Rico Daandels was appointed CEO in 2017. Peter has remained shareholder of the company and participates in the Advisory Board. 

Van den Bosch has grown thanks to a shared passion for the profession, our collective ambition and progressive way of thinking. And one thing has never changed in all those years: Van den Bosch only wants to go one way: forward. From road transport to intermodal. From Erp to Europe, Africa and the Middle East. And from bulk transport to smart innovations and promising concepts.

Ad van den Bosch laid the foundation for Van den Bosch in 1964. With one single truck, he started his company from Erp, the Netherlands. In the early years Ad mainly transported bagged goods. Over the years, the company has grown into an international transport company, specialised in bulk transport.

Peter takes over the company from his father Ad van den Bosch

Peter takes over the company from his father Ad van den Bosch. Under Peter’s leadership, the company grows to become an authority in bulk logistics. His growth strategy also entails opening various international branches. The transition from road transport to intermodal bulk transport has been successfully initiated.

The 500th truck: an American Kenworth

Start of the transhipment terminal in Bergen op Zoom.

This terminal was acquired by BTT Multimodal with effect from 1 February 2023.

Peter appoints Rico Daandels as CEO

On 1 March 2017 Peter van den Bosch hands operational leadership over to Rico Daandels. As CEO, Rico is now responsible for day-to-day management. Peter remains shareholder and participates in the Advisory Board, supporting the management with advice and recommendations regarding objectives, strategy and business operations.
