55 new trucks
Bulk transporter Van Den Bosch Transporten replaces part of its current fleet by 55 new MAN trucks. The most important reason for choosing these 18 MAN TGS 18.400 and 37 MAN TGX 18.400 is because their own weight is low.

Van den Bosch Transporten is a bulk transporter. The company transports a substantial part of all bulk transports in food and non-food, that is processed both in Europe and outside Europe. According to Emiel van Haren, Operations Manager, the purchase of the new trucks is important to service customers even better. “Based on a low own weight, the favourable fuel consumption and the comfort for the driver, the choice fell on MAN”, Emiel van Haren explains. Together with Marcel van der Werf of the Technical Purchase Department, he is responsible for the purchase of the trucks. Christian Pregled, account manager at MAN Netherlands Dealer South supervised the sale for MAN.

EfficientLine package
Because of the international use and the rules for weight that apply, a low own weight is essential. MAN has de TS version of the TGS 18.400 especially for this part of the industry. The letters TS refer to Tank Silo and they indicate that extensive attention was given to optimum weight reduction. To further improve their performance, the Van den Bosch trucks have been equipped with parts from the EfficientLine package. “This concerns Air Pressure Management (the compressor switches off automatically), the TipMatic automatic transmission, aluminium Alcoa rims, aluminium air and fuel tanks”. These trucks also have the TipMatic automatic transmission, but also an elevated sleeper cabin and an economical and clean Euro 5 diesel engine.”

Control
Van den Bosch Transporten has its own workshop. It is well equipped and has expert technicians. Together with the MAN-dealer in Eindhoven, extra training was provided over the last few months to fully master the newest MAN techniques as well. The purchase included the required software for the Van den Bosch equipment, in order to be able to read out technical information. In case specialised help is needed, the MAN dealer provides a competent technician. The new MAN trucks will be equipped with a compressor and the proper house style by Van den Bosch Transporten itself and then the dealer will take care of the final check for delivery.

Good experience
Van den Bosch Transporten has been driving  MAN trucks since 2008. The current purchase and the options linked to it indicate that the company has puts its faith in the product, its performance, its sustainability and the European wide service.
