Differentiated concept by Van den Bosch Transporten
Early 2012, Van den Bosch Transporten expects to open its brand new logistic training centre. This means that the current Van den Bosch Academy, that has existed since 2001, is not only expanding substantially, but will all serve other purposes.

To stand out and set the trend
New and standing out to this learning centre is the focus which will be on training all stakeholders in the logistic process. With this, the logistic service provider means training  its customers, suppliers, authorities and of course its own employees. The training centre will therefore be one of a kind. The organisation does not use a ‘one size fits all’, but a ‘one size fits one concept’ with customised trainings. In total almost 400 square meters of different theory and practice rooms offer the opportunity to give refresher courses to employees, but also to share and develop the newest equipment and technical innovations. This makes the Academy 10 times larger than the present accommodation. The company does this in order to be able to optimally instruct all those involved in the  supply chain.

Target groups
The logistic training centre will be equipped to serve all kinds of target groups. Besides drivers, also charters, office staff, site coordinators, logistic managers, logistic buyers and customers will be trained and put into contact with each other. “By bringing together all actors in the logistic process, we can work together on safety and efficiency and we moreover create social awareness in and between the groups. We see great synergy benefits”, says Marcel Wouterse (operations director). “Time and time again, it is amazing to see that the smallest changes and innovations have the biggest results. Developing such initiatives will be facilitated daily by our logistic training centre starting 2012. Our organisation’s focus for 2012 will therefore  be on trainings mostly. The ambition is to train on average 2,000 people per year”, says Marcel Wouterse.

Sustainable
In this way Van den Bosch Transporten is buiding sustainable relationships not only with employees, but also with suppliers, customers and society. The logistics services provider thus displays its involvement in the supply chain. The renovation of the Van den Bosch Transporten in-house training centre has started and will be finished early 2012. The trainings are being prepared at the moment to enable a quick start for the logistic learning centre.
