Van den Bosch Academy

A professional career as a driver starts at the Van den Bosch Academy. The trainings offered at the in-house training centre of Van den Bosch Transporten ensure that the level of quality of the service we provide keeps rising.

The lessons

The Van den Bosch Academy trains driving as well as non-driving staff. All staff is trained according to a customised training plan. Standard trainings are mainly about quality, safety, environment and technical matters. Next to that, there are specialist trainings for drivers. Couplings and hoses, loading and unloading, safety, quality, hygiene and environment are topics on that agenda.

Unique Master Class Program

Especially unique is the “Master Class Program” that stretches out over several years. Drivers are trained to become “Master Driver” in four steps. In the first part of the programme, the standard modules are dealt with such as the board computer and the 40 hour work week. After completion, the driver is a ‘Van den Bosch Driver’.  In the second part, leading up to ‘Green Driver’, the focus is on all kinds of aspects regarding the environment, fuel consumption and behaviour based safety. Then modules like safety, food and feed safety, hygiene and criminality are dealt with. A driver may then officially be called ‘Professional Driver’. The ultimate level is the ‘Master Driver’ level. Drivers are trained for damage free driving, fuel reduction and dealing with complaints.

The sky is the limit!
Part of the training consists of a number of obligatory E-learning modules that a driver will take after he has started to drive on his own. The motive for all this is that Van den Bosch feels that the level of its drivers has to be higher and can be higher.
