On 8 and 9 of August 2005 another SQAS Tank Cleaning Assessment has been carried out by Dekra ITS at ATR BV, our tank cleaning in Amsterdam. In combination with the ATCN ratification Van den Bosch Transporten will shortly be able to issue a European Cleaning Document (ECD) at ATR in Amsterdam. This document is required by many firms in the chemical industry.
Extensive investigation
To get a complete picture of the method of working at ATR, Dekra ITS has thoroughly analyzed the tank cleaning station. As basis for the assessment a questionnaire has been used concerning very diverse matters. Some subjects that were dealt with: Reporting and investigation in case of abnormalities, Safety, Health and Environment, Labour hygiene, Protection of the Environment, Equipment, Activities and Branch Inspection. (Click here for the complete questionnaire). The questions may be answered with 'good (1)' or 'not present (0)'. Moreover, both the auditor and Van den Bosch Transporten have the possibility to make remarks, if any.
Online reporting
The results of the assessment will be made available shortly on the SQAS website: www.sqas.org It will then be possible for Van den Bosch Transporten to examine the report concerned, by means of a report number and a password. In this way the report will remain up-to-date.
In the planning
Before ATR in Amsterdam are allowed to issue the European Cleaning Document, they have to be in the possession of the ATCN ratification besides the SQAS certificate. This has been applied for. The reasoning behind this ratification regulation is to offer the customer the certainty that cleaning has been performed in accordance with the stringent quality demands of the ATCN and taking into consideration the necessary care for the environment.
On 15 and 16 of September 2005 a SQAS Road Transport Assessment will take place at Van den Bosch Transporten. This assessment is specifically aimed at road transport and will be carried out by Deltra ITS.
