Dry Bulk Intermodal - Pressure Minimize

Within the dry-bulk sector, the most common packaging method for intermodal transports is formed by pressure containers. The properties of these containers are exactly identical to the high-pressure silo trailers. Th epressure is available in a 30Ft and a 40Ft make. Depending on the volume to be transported, the specific gravity, legal requirements and modality, we will select the most suitable type of container.

Dry Bulk Intermodal - Pressureless Silo Containers Minimize

Apart from pressure containers, we can also use pressureless containers for dry bulk, These are containers that can be discharged without any pressure, For the discharge of pressureless containers we make use, among others, of a sluice through which the content can be discharged with the help of air. The advantage of such containers is that they are less expensive. However, this type of container is only suitable for a limited number of products.

A third alternative for intermodal transports of dry bulk is a bag-in-box system. This system consists of a special 30Ft container that is equipped with manholes at the top and discharge valve at the bottom of the doors. A liner bag is then placed in these containers. This container is based on the same discharging principle as that of pressureless containers a discharge sluis or rotary valve is used here as well.
