Quality Management Minimize

Quality
To increase food safety, quality systems apply in many ways. Companies that are part of the food manufacturing chain in Europe are obliged to have some form of analysis and to work accordingly.

A company having a quality care system will have a description of internal roles, qualifications, responsibilities, procedures, work instructions and registrations. The certification agency Dekra assesses concept and result of the system and can award a certificate.

In order to guarantee food and feed safety but also other quality standards, the different quality plans will have to fit in, in order to allow the whole process to be controlled and in order to form a closed chain together. The logistics chains have to be integrated in order to enable good quality and traceability of products. If these chains function well, more efficient and effective action can be taken when irregularities or calamities occur, at the same time maintaining quality at the right level. There are different ways to achieve this: where before only the final product was checked, nowadays checking takes place of raw materials and the production phase more and more. If this checking is carried out and registered regularly, we can speak of a quality system being in place.
